Once upon a time…

Erin and Maggie met while playing Dungeons and Dragons. The game asks players to immerse themselves in an unfamiliar world and solve problems creatively with their band of fellow travelers. Along the way, you learn a lot about the players beside you: what makes them laugh, how lucky they are, what kind of snacks they always bring…and of course, how they think.

To celebrate their love of the game, they are asking you to come with them on a similar quest. Of course, we are looking forward to the snacks and funny memories! But the most important part is how you think about building relationships. Maggie and Erin are about to start a journey into an unfamiliar land of marriage. As their family and friends, we can send them there with the benefit of advice about how to maintain a connection with other people.

Instructions

Enclosed with your invitation is a card (or two) asking you to choose a “cup”, a.k.a. an aspect of a good relationship. All of the “cups” are important, but choose the quality that is most important to you! Your choices are:

• kind words

• gifts

• quality time

• acts of service

• physical touch.

If you plan to attend the shower, keep the card with you until after the party! We will use it during our quest. If you aren’t able to join us, feel free to return it in the pre-addressed envelope. After the party, we will collect all of the cards and compile them into a special keepsake of advice for Erin and Maggie.
